Tommee Tippee Bottles, do you do the water to oz or ml?

I remember with DS we filled the water up to the ml then added the powder. However I now realise that nearly everything refers to oz so we are following these instead. I now notice though that 60ml is not equal to 2 oz and so on all the way up the bottle, so if we were doing 240ml, this is more than 8 oz, which means the powder to water ratio isn't the same with the ml and oz. According to the side of the formula tub, it is 1 sccop or powder to 1 oz or 1 scoop to 30ml but this doens't make sense.

What do you follow?

I did it by Oz.

You are FAR more observent then me, by the way!

We do it by ounces. We use SMA and it says "mix one scoop of powder to 30ml (approx 1 fl. oz.) of water." and on the feeding guide chart above it says everything in ounces so we've always done it that way. I've always thought in ounces, probably because I've found it to be easier. I see what you mean though. But 30mls and an ounce are very close - surely it won't make much difference?

They are close to start with while it is small amounts on the bottles but I noticed that the maximum oz is 9 which should mean 270ml but it only goes up to 260ml so they don't quite add up, plus when you look at the lines marking the oz and ml nearer the top of the bottle, they do look quite a bit out from each other.

toddler yes I don't miss much. Grin
