Struggling with introducing bottle feeds from breastfeeding

Hi,
My baby is 4 1/2 months. He's been breast feed until now, and I wish to continue but want to be able to give him bottles on certain days when I need to work. He initially from 2 months, took the odd bottle, so we didn't think there was a problem. Now he rejects most bottles, getting quite upset when I try. I've tried expressed milk as well as formula. He is teething also. We've been using Avent bottles. Help!!!

It's a very common problem and one that I too am having difficulty with. DD was fine in the early weeks but we left a big gap and now she won't have any of it! I know many people find Tomee Tipee are good. I have also heard people say that un-latching your little one and then sticking the teat in can work too.

I have been feeling quite frustrated about it but after wasting lots of formula/breastmilk I think I might just go straight for a cup!

I am sure you are but also make sure the milk is quite warm when you try...
