My baby girl is now 10 days old. My breasts were both of equal proportion until 2 days ago when the left one became significantly bigger than the right. How do i even out my breast size as it is quite noticeable??

One of mine is half the size of the other! I'm BFing my 4th baby, and they only even out when I stop feeding. There seems to be more milk in the bigger one too Hmm

Sorry, I haven't got any advice, but will watch this with interest.

It's the milk. Are you BF or FF?

Thanks for your reply Faverolles. Yes my larger breast appears to have more milk also. Do you continue to feed baby with both breasts?

I have a bigger/milkier/favourite boob too!

Just offer both sides at each feed, it'll probably even out a bit.

Thanks Rita, i was concerned one breast isnt producing and that was the reason for the size difference, but it appears that this is quite a common issue.

Lets just hope they retunr to normal after BF.

I have this too - I favoured one side in the early days without really realising and now that side is still bigger even though I've been trying to even things out and the other side is now my leaky side!

theyoungvisiter · 04/03/2011 21:49

You can probably even it out if you're bothered. I had this with my second baby because I was trying to do so much with my older child with my right hand and feeding with my left.

I made a deliberate effort to favour the smaller boob and it caught up - but if you're not bothered, don't worry. It won't affect anything apart from the fit of your bra!

I think I got into a vicious cycle of one side getting more use, and then feeding off that side first as it felt fuller/more engorged.
