DD2 is 3 weeks on friday.
she was 10lb3oz at birth, only lost 1% then at 10 days had gone 50g over her birthweight, so feeding was fine to start with. I fed DD1 for 3.5 years, she self weaned just after DD2 was born (when my milk came in she didn't like it) so I thought I was a pro at feeding!
DD2's latch seems great, aside from a tiny bit of clicking which I adjust her/my boob to stop when I hear it. I've not had any soreness.
I do however have a ridiculous amount of milk, she starts a feed and then the milk flow is just too much for her to cope with, so she pulls off, screams, goes back on... this continues until she refuses to go back on and then just screams, she never seems to reach a point of being satisfied, or get to that 'drunk baby' state which DD1 used to, she's never fallen asleep at the breast etc.
I wind her lots during the feed but that doesn't seem to help. I've been block feeding, but that just means we slowly work our way through one boob while the other gets more and more full, so when it comes to feeding from that one there's so much milk it's just hopeless.
this morning she did a green poo so that means she's not getting enough hindmilk doesn't it?
I just don't know what to do, feeding her just for her to made so uncomfortable and upset by it is horrible.
