Ready to give up - how long till they're not sore?

Just that really.

DD is nearly 15months and has been excl bf all that time. Not through choice, plan was to mix feed but she just wouldn't take a bottle.

Anyway, so now the time has come and I'm ready to give up. I think I've done really well to get this far - I never thought I would.

DD currently takes one feed in the morning first thing and another at bed time.

Missed the one this morning and basically am very sore. I'm anticipating tomorrow and Monday being pretty bad. How long will it be before my boobs get the message that I don't need the milk any more?

Appreciate any advice

I think I've read on here it's 3-7 days per feed.

Ouch! Thanks for your reply. Guess I've got a while to go then...

You can probably express a teeny bit to give yourself relief - it will mean it takes longer for the milk to go completely but I'm sure it will make it less painful for you.

Thanks! I did end up doing that last night. One side in particular was extremely painful.

It's painful but I don't want to wish it away either because it's the end of something special and I feel quite emotional about it. I know that sounds a bit weird maybe.
