Bobbing on and off at the start of a fees

At the start of a feed she won't just latch on, she comes on and off a number of times. Once she gets going she stays on. She's hurt my nipple that last feed though and I am scared of getting cracked nipples again

How old Neeps? (DD that is, not you)lol

Could you try to hand express or at least do a little bit of massage to tempt her and so she hasn't got to do the hard work at the start to promote the supply coming through.
Just an idea

2 weeks. Will try that thank you. Am a bit gutted as I thought I had sorted feeding out but that feed was really painful.

neepsntatties where are you? can you go see someone at support group - can be total life saver...

2 weeks is a bit early to think that bf is sorted. I mean this in the nicest possible way. And I agree with what was suggested above. A local good bf support group with a good, qualified lactation/bf consultant is a must. I had so many problems and the group I went to really did pull me through the difficult early weeks of bf. 5 months on and still going strong!

I just meant the sore nipple issue as they haven't bothered me for a week now. I am in hospital so should be able to see someone.
