Hi
My DD has a thick mucusy (sp) cough courtesy of her 3 yr old brother. She's not feeding as well as normal & I'm finding by evening I'm quite uncomfortable. Should I express to relieve discomfort & keep supply up for when she's back to normal or will my milk automatically reduce for now then increase when she's feeding better?
She's EBF, I'm not concerned about how much she's feeding as she is still feeding & has put on about 8oz a week since birth!
Thank you

I'd express for your own comfort don't worry about your supply if dd is feeding regularly your supply shouldn't drop and if it does drop a bit it'll pick up again as soon as dd picks up her feeding.
Hope she'd better soon

I haven't expressed when my daughter's had a cold becasue I hardly get anything out even though I have a decent pump Hmm but if I were you, I would pump and freeze the milk. You never know when you might need it.
