Drinks other than milk at 6 months

My daughter is six months and is now having a small amount of food morning and evening. At the moment she is still bfing very frequently too ( about every 3 hours during the day and about every 4 still at night), i was wondering about giving her water in a bottle after her food as a drink? Or is it better to keep bfing her for drinks of you see what i mean? It is easier breastfeeding her than trying to get her to drink from a cup or bottle but some of her feeds during the day are very very short now so I am thinking she is thirsty rather than hungry so not sure if i should be encouraging drinking other fluids rather then breastfeeding, i don't really want to reduce milk feeds TOO much because she is still quite small.

I'd offer a small amount of water in a cup along with food - more to get her used to the cup than to take huge amounts of water

What Seona said - and to reduce the likelihood of constipation due to the solids. We found the Doidy cup good.

I've been offering water in a cup - ds seems to find it interesting, but isn't bothered about drinking it.
