...I've just reached day 9, DD has put on 4.5oz since birth, BF is going rather well and I feel like rewarding myself! Grin

Please tell me I'm not the only BFing mother out there to succumb to the vino? Hmm

Congratulations to you Smile

AngelDog · 04/02/2011 20:37

Of course not - although mine's restricted to lunchtime as we co-sleep. Grin

SlightlyTubbyHali · 04/02/2011 20:37

I had regular glasses of wine in the evening when breastfeeding. Never got blotto, of course.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 04/02/2011 20:37

I am a MIDWIFE !!!! Huge confession Shock and breastfed all my 3 children until they were 10 months old and yes also enjoyed a nice glass of wine during the feeds. I have 3 healthy children and still enjoy and need my glasses of wine Wine

crikeybadger · 04/02/2011 21:24

Nah, I've just polished off a nice glass of white. Smile

Glad to hear things are going well with your new little one.

pippylongstockings · 04/02/2011 21:32

The 1st thing I did when I came home from having DS1 and DS2 was to have a large GnT! A glass of red is practically medicinal really......

I BF both my boys till 18 months and mostly had a glass every night - nice and relaxing, keeps you on the straight and narrow.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 04/02/2011 21:49

(sorry to be a downer)

Just don't do what I did and let the glass of wine become a bottle on the evenings that they do finally decide to sleep..

(sorry again)

SconesForTea · 04/02/2011 21:56

I had a glass of bubbly every day for a week or so after giving birth - visitors kept bringing it round (perhaps because I'd ordered them to while still preg Blush) and it was rude not to!

Meglet · 04/02/2011 21:58

Same as scones. I ended up with champagne in the house and managed to 'eek' the bottles out for ages. Just a tiny glass with dinner every night, but it was bliss.

Ragwort · 04/02/2011 22:01

I always had a (large) glass (or two) whilst breast feeding - now have a very healthy 10 year old Smile. PS: also had a drink most days whilst pregnant.

StealthPolarBear · 04/02/2011 22:06

Congratulations on your baby :o Glad bf is going so well

DH poured me a glass of champagne the day after DS was born (celebrating with GPs). There was one glass left in the bottle so instead of being polite and offering it round I had it too - had had 9 months of barely drinking and had just given birth - if ever you deserve a glass fo wine :o

TettyLouBar · 05/02/2011 16:50

...and a lovely large glass of wine it was....although was regretting it when DD decided that last night would be the night she would wake lots! Sad
