Sorry if this is a little long but after reading other posts, a little context seems to help! My daughter is eight weeks old today and weighs 10 pounds 2 ounces (7,4 at birth) She is almost EBF with one 5 oz bottle of formula at 11pm. I suppose I am feeding on demand although her 'demands' are more predictable now than in the earlier weeks. Two weeks ago she put herself in a nice little evening routine of bath at 6.30, last feed at 7ish then asleep by 7.30, 'dream feed' at 11ish then sleep until 7 or 8 am with one (sometimes 2) bfs in between. During the day, she feeds 4 or five times depending on when she wakes up in the morning and is alert for anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour before 'power napping' for 20 minutes or so after each feed. Most days she has quite a long nap of an hour or two somewhere between 11 and 1. The last three nights however, she has not seemed that hungry at 7 and so has fed but not for long then taken longer to settle to sleep. On each occasion she has woken twice after her 'dream feed' and I have BF her. During these two feeds she falls asleep on the breast quite quickly. This is where I'm losing my confidence a bit! Has she had enough to eat so is falling asleep or is she waking up again because she is not fully satisfied? I suppose my other question is does this all sound okay? I know that every baby is different and that they can change a 'routine' just when we're getting used to it but looking for some reassurance that I'm on the right track. Thanks and apologies for long post.
