Can laser hair removal affect breastfeeding?

Just about to embark on a course of laser hair removal. I can't see how this could affect bf since as I understand it the light only reaches the hair follicles, but just want to be sure. Anyone know?

Also, has anyone heard of if affecting fertility if I was to have bikini/stomach done?

Many thanks

No idea sorry Pixie. Have they got any information on it?

A client of mine was intending doing a course of lhr and they refused to do it because she was BF so you may want to check I think it was more becasuse of hormones and skin pigmentation so causing issues for the mum rather than affecting the BF. It was a good salon so I figure they know what the are talking about. I also just checked out a cople of sites of clinics offering this service and they all say it is not suitable if breastfeeding. Sorry!

Pincesslina - oh no! Any chance you could post the links so I could have a look? I phoned up the person doing it and she said there were no probs, but I'm worried now. I'm also having it on my face so hyperpigmentation would be a problem.
Thanks
