Introducing food and wanting to breastfeed more often

My daughter is 6 months was ebf until very recently and has taken to her food very easily so far enjoying it and eating a good amount at the moment she eats a larger amount in the evening and a small amount at lunchtime. Since we have started this she ks asking for milk more and more often the more food she has the more she wants to breastfeed, it has followed that the more food she has in the day the more she will wake at night. So if she eats alot of real food in a day she will wake every 2-3 hours at night instead of her normal 4.

Why is this? At thus rate by the time she eating 3 meals she will be breastfeeding like a newborn again!

Has anyone else experienced this?

Haven't had this experience myself, but would be interested in any other replies.
Could it be a growth spurt that is the cause of waking or feeding more?

Does she use the milk as a drink? Try giving more water with meals?

Is it maybe a comfort thing?

Is she drinking enough milk in the day? DD woke up more initially on starting solids 8 weeks ago now, but as her meals increased in complexity and calories she is finally sleeping better again. I also try to breastfeed her as often as possible during the day. It will eventually get better Smile
