you stay in with them.

i went in with dd2 when she was 4.5 weeks and again at 9 weeks. stayed in for a week. i slept on a cot in her room. not great but i'm glad i was able to stay there.

if they try and fob you off, make a stink.

hope you're ok. {{{hugs}}}

If the mother is a pt, provision has to made for the baby. Your hospital should have a policy, ask the PALS office.

I have heard of some hospitals only accommodating baby if they are under 6 months, but I would ask as much in advance as possible and make it very, very clear that the baby was staying with me.

i've stayed with hhim as the patient, but wasn't sure if i was the patient.

nothing major wrong, but been close to being admitted with sf comp;ications.
