Ok.....she's 99 centile, has had three teeth since 17 weeks and has three mealtimes a day...the usual, purees, fruit veg, chicken fish (6months plus old), beginning soft finger food, yoghurt etc! I'm feeding her early morn and bedtime......managed to drop night feeds but she sometimes still gets peckish at 3 am....or mostly doing a 5am which she sleeps after for at least another hour......disturbed sleep between midnight and 2ish.....lots teething I think. So if I've had busy day with both dd's and I do tend to cram a lot in and no local fam help so little rest......I sometimes feel boobs empty at bedtime......like no chance to refill! The morn one usually ok, she will not drink formula tho, she makes frowning faces and spits it out but happily guzzles water from a beaker with soft spout, am v keen to stop, any tips!! Brands of bottle? Nuk beakers suiting her so could use that but a bit small only 150mls. Sma not going down well, is it really worth trying diff brands....surely they are all fairly similar? Dd1 was mad on hippo organic night time milk, will def try that when shop next. Sorry long post, am tired, tend to waffle. X

Try mixing made up formula with expressed breast milk, may be in a cup if she likes cups. Start with one scoop of powder and the correct amount of water, then keep increasing it until you eventually have a cup of formula. Be guided by her as to how quickly to go. This method also works for changing to follow on milk and then to cow juice.

an old fashioned but effective method which has fallen out of favour for good reasons is to rub sugar water on the teat of a bottle. Maybe you could combine the two methods. The sugar only needs to be used a few times till she gets the idea that food now comes in bottles.
Good luck!

Ooooo! Am liking the sugar idea! Can see her going for that one! Will try......tried nuk bottle with fast flow bigger teat tonight....she refused downstairs with Telly on for dd1 but then scooted up to nursery as dp came home early and started her with a boob, when she relaxed I popped her off and sneaked the bottle in, kept her lying on side as if bf.......bingo! Drank 30mls then bit more boob then asleep as usual......will attempt same plus sugar tmrw night. Thank you for response seuss.

glad the sugar didn't shock! Some I know would be horrified! We had a lot of success with the gradual change of milks.
