Pregnant and breastfeeding - what is going to happen to my breasts?

Evening all :)

Still bfing DD who is two-and-a-bit several times a day and pregnant, about 10 weeks I think. My boobs were huge when pg with DD and in the early days of bfing but have now shrunk back down to their pre-pg size. They don't seem to have got any bigger since getting pg this time round.

I am only asking because I am desperately in need of some new bras, but obviously don't want to splash out on more if my size is about to change again. All the ones I have at the moment are too big and grey and saggy and I would really like some which actually fit!

Any clues as to what my amazing rollercoaster bosoms might do next?

No idea, I'm afraid, but I loved the sound of amazing rollercoaster bosoms. Grin

Congratulations on the pregnancy. :)

I was in the same boat as you back in 2008 when I got pregnant with my DS2. My DS was the same age as your DD is now.

I did buy new non-wired bras for my pregnancy, and they were the same size as my pre-pregnancy ones. I don't think they changed at all during my second pregnancy, but this might be due to the fact that I developed GD, adopted a strict diet and was actually lighter at 38 weeks than at 8 weeks pregnant.

Two years on I am still breastfeeding and my cup size is the one size smaller but the back size is 6 inches smaller than my first maternity bra.

Thanks Angels it was damned hard work Grin

Cheers llareggub, that's useful. I have actually lost quite a lot of weight so far, mainly because I've been feeling so sick in the evenings and have completely lost my appetite, so I'm currently lighter than when I got pg the first time Confused Who knew the quickest way to lose my baby weight would be got get pregnant again?!

Congrats, I also wonder this, but I only feed my daughter (2 years 3 months) once a day and to be honest I think my supply has dwindled.

I plan on buying Anita underwired maybe in two sizes when they start getting bigger. Which isn't quite yet (I'm about 8 weeks)

13 weeks today and they still haven't changed I'm feeding maybe 3-4 times a day but a lot of times now at least 2 of those are mere seconds (I think she just likes to latch on to hear me squeal Hmm) and sometimes it's just mornings and evenings now.

Anyone know if my nipples are going to get any less sore?

Congrats :)

I'm 34-ish weeks and BF 2.3 yo DD. My boobs went up to about the same size as they did when I was expecting DD, perhaps a little bigger. It's been quite recent, I was in my normal bras for the first 3 or 4 months of this pregnancy. I think they've doubled in size in the last week actually Hmm

They had gone back to my normal pre-pregnancy size before I got pregnant.

Thanks :)
