Wonder if anyone can help - DS is 4 weeks and we're battling through thrush and recurrent mastitis but I'm a woman on a mission! I feed him in the cross cradle position on the left side and it's obviously his favourite as he will only feed in the rugby ball on the right hand side. I'd like to be able to do cross cradle on this side as I imagine when he gets bigger it will get harder to do rugby ball and also it's less easy to be subtle with this position when out in public.
Problem is he doesn't have a wide enough latch when I've tried and also gets in a real pickle and stress and because I'm sore anyway with mastitis and thrush I've just been going for what we're both comfortable with at the moment but would like tips for the next few weeks when I'm hoping it will start to get easier!

I imagine...He's growing fast & his latch will get bigger, you just have to keep trying.

Does that make a real difference with latch then as they get bigger?

DS had a tongue tie that wasn't snipped until he was 11 weeks. Because of the tongue tie, he didn't have a very wide latch, but as his mouth got bigger his latch improved. It made a difference in our case.
