Just wondering at what stage everyone is at regarding BF. My DS is just over 7 months old and i'm still BF on demand, he had around 5 Breast Feeds a day plus breakfast, lunch and tea!

Just 8 weeks. But I'm very proud of myself as I have thought about switching to formula most days but haven't yet! Feeling a bit smug

highlander · 02/10/2005 11:57

yay - go for it suzy! Once you hit the 6 month mark you will be laughing, laughing, laughing

DD is 23 months and climbs into my bed for a feed every morning. Does it still count as me bfing her, when she just helps herself when I'm asleep

Roxswood · 02/10/2005 13:57

My little one is 15 months and feeds on demand, pretty much two hourly day and night, though more often if teething or otherwise grumpy.
We're planning to feed until she no longer wants it, whenever that may be, and since I have no problem with feeding in the night, no doubt she'll be continuing that for a long time yet too.

suzywong · 02/10/2005 13:58

no that doesn't count serenety , you lazy mare [wink{

Good for your suzi - keep up the good work

Eldest is 20 months and still has at least 4 brestfeeds a day and three or four or more at night. Youngest is 7 months nearly and won't take solids so she still breastfeeds a lot. I find it hard feeding them both at the same time, especially when the eldest jumps around and tries to sit on her sister

24 wks. and at 8 wks was thinking how much longer can i do this. hang in there suzi2. the easy bit is just around the corner IME.

Almost 13 months. DS feed between 3-4 times a day, always having a feed first thing in am and last thing in pm. Has only been down to 3-4 for about a month, before that was feeding 5 times a day and 2 at nite. On his birthday he was so busy he didnt ask in the day at all and only had am and pm feeds!!! Would like to go down to am and pm only and then continue that as long as he likes. Also feeds as wanted when ill etc.
