i'm getting a bit desperate, as i breastfeed my daugther to sleep and she just keeps on sucking. She won't take a dummy, but i just wondered if there are any hard and fast rules, she seems to want to keep going forever.thanks

How old?

It's just comfort sucking, not being greedy!

Eventually the nipple falls out of my ds's mouth when he's deeply asleep, or I pop it out once the sucking slows and cuddle him.

And comfort sucking isn't a bad thing, it's comforting for them Xmas Wink

Thank you. She's 12 weeks yesterday, the only glitch is she wakes up three times a night and is difficult to settle..

If they drink to excess, the excess just comes back out. :o
