To everybody that posts about breastfeeding... both problems and solutions

I only know a couple of people that bf in real life and have learnt mostly through reading threads on here and reading books recommended by mn users.

I had a home birth with ds (now 10wks) so didn't have the midwives in hospital to check in on how we were doing...HV misplaced my file so didn't visit until ds was 7wks and whilst me and dp have had loads of rl support on looking after ds I truely believe if it wasn't for people on here posting problems and solutions then we wouldn't have got to where we are now....ds is exclusively bf and I am loving it!!

It was probably sometime last week that I realised this :)

We've had no major problems but I don't think I fully realised the commitment (not sure whether this is the right choice of word) when I decided to bf when pregnant, I simply wanted to give my LO the best start in life...
So from me and my ds...thank you thank you thank you! I hope others are able to benefit as we have. :)

I second this,... DS is only 6 weeks and ebf. Without the preparation I had done by reading the threads on here I don't think I would have quite realised the reality of bf, especially in the early days (and I have actually had it quite easy compared to some).

It is so brilliant to be able to come on here and find someone who is having the same problems as you - there is always someone!

Thankyou to all you experienced bfers who take your time to reply with such useful information. It is sooo appreciated . What a shame that it is easier to get the help/advice/support/education on a discussion board than it is in rl though - my mw/hv/peer support has been less than great.
