Help me, I can't remember
DD2 is 8m old.
She is breast fed
Has a morning , lunchtime and a bedtime milk feed plus a 10pm extra one.
Plus 3 good solid meals
She doesn't wake for this last feed,is very sleepy and doesn't take a lot.
I reckon I might just not go in tonight but am a little scared.
When do you drop this feed, remind me please

If she doesn't wake, I'd drop it, but then I've never done a dreamfeed myself - I'd never have risked waking a sleeping baby!

What's to be scared about?

Hi, found this thread on search as I am in a similar boat.

DS is 10 months and mixed bottle and breastfed. Last feed at 6.30pm is breast, followed by a bottle top up where he has anything from 0-3oz. We've always done a dreamfeed at 10.30pm, it used to be breast but is now bottle and we've been reducing it gradually to 2oz at 10pm. DS has been fine and sleeping through on that.

A few nights ago he refused the 2oz at 10pm so we decided to try dropping it altogether. We've done two nights so far and both times he's woken up at 3.30-4am. I've given him a dummy and he's gone back to sleep but I can't help but think the two things must be related and he's waking up hungry.

Now not sure whether to continue not giving the 10pm feed and hope he gets used to it or to go back to giving it and see what happens.

Tempted to do the latter!

I am watching DS2 is 8 months, and bottle fed. Would like to drop late feed.

He has 4 day time bottles (6oz+4oz+6oz+6oz) and 3 meals.

Have reduced to 2oz... plan is to drop to 1.5oz next week, and 1oz the week after.

I don't want to be woken up in the night!!
