Thats it basically, if I give a bottle of EBM for DH to give do I then need to express that feed that I've missed in order to keep up with supply?

DS is five weeks and is EBF.

At five weeks, I would say yes, express to keep your supply up.

I'm no expert, but I'm sure one will be along soon Smile

I did, religiously, and supply was great until ds self-weaned at 8m.

Yes, at that age you really do need to. It should be as close to the missed feed as possible really.

sorry to gatecrash but i am wondering if should do the same with a 16 week old?

HermyaTheRedNosedReindeer · 02/12/2010 16:22

I thought as much, thanks for that.

When does supply become established btw?

i think somewhere around 10 weeks maybe? though am first timer and no expert!

i think i missed expressing when have given a bottle on a few occassions since 10 weeks and don't think it has affected supply... but maybe someone with greater expertese will advise otherwise Confused
