Looking for Research into the benefits of Breastfeeding

IjustDontKnow · 23/09/2005 16:39

I wonder whether anyone can provide links to or other details of how to access data in respect of professionally accredited studies into the benefits of breastfeeding.

So far all I have to go on is the experiences of breastfeeding friends and current NHS policy which from personal insight I know can be biased for any numbers of reasons wholly unconnected with the welfare of the patient.

Any help would be much appreciated and I do have some dark winter months to go before I need to make my mind up so plenty of reading time.

Just wanted to add that if you take time to browse Kellymom you can find at the bottom of each page the research that has provided the information given. Its an excellent website and one that is often referred to by breastfeeding counsellors due to the quality of the information provided.

Hope this helps, and happy reading!
