Baby with tummy ache, Me with Mastitis - related?

DS is nearly 9mo, the last couple of days he's been grouchy with a tummy ache and his poo has been pretty loose and sticky and more khaki coloured than normal (sorry!)

So here's what I'm suspecting - which do you think might have caused it?

  • my blocked duct (is my milk somehow contaminated?)
  • me taking 400mg Ibuprofen once a day to help clear the associated Mastitis
  • DS finally accepting some chicken into his diet (in a puree)

(I know ABs can make him looser but I haven't started those yet!)

Which came first? Him being ill, or you getting mastitis?

Could he have been feeding less because he was feeling unwell, and the drop in demand lead to you getting mastitis?

No, my mastitis came first. Otherwise, good theory!

mastitis can change the taste of the milk but i don't think it affects their tummies. I think chicken perhaps most likely but who knows? Ds's poos change colour quite a bit and I never have a clue why!
