Anyone sucessfully used Lecithin to treat blocked ducts (and can you tell me how to pronounce it so I can ask for it!)

For the third time in 2 weeks I have was I suspect is a blocked duct. No obvious lump, just a wedge shaped lump in my breast, really tender and painful to feed.

Kellymom suggests Lecithin to help. Has anyone used it? Does it work? Will I get it at my local pharmacy or do I have to haul ass to Holland and Barratts? How the hell do you pronounce it?

I used it for a couple of months after having almost daily blocks and it did help. A health store is prob a better bet than the pharmacy- at least in my neck of the woods.
Good luck with the blocks, it can be so miserable when you have one...

le si (as in sin) thin - I used it with DD1 and it worked a treat. I got mine in granule form from Holland and Barratt.

Thanks, will get some tomorrow. Any other tips? I've read that another option is to cut out saturated fat? I'll cry if that is the only option. Chocolate & biscuits are my only pleasure in life at the moment!

hmm, think i might try it too. Someone told me about a homeopathic remedy called phytolacca, I've just bought some. I'll try anything! (last night DH even tried sucking but he couldn't latch on!)
