Baby with cold, teething and some mucus in nappies

Sorry, not strictly a bf question, but I am ebf my 17 week old. She has a very snotty cold and is teething. she has done four poos in the last 24 hours - normally she only does one or two in 48 hours. They weren't big, but two of them had translucent yellow strings of mucus in them. Should I go to docs with her, or does this sound normal? I presume she must be swallowing some of her nose snot (sorry!), which is coming out in nappy.

She doesn't have a temperature and seems ok in herself. She's feeding ok and we're getting lots of wet nappies.

Thnaks in advance - will post this in parenting as well.

Sounds quite normal to me. Just be grateful the mucus is coming out in her poo and not making her sick! Smile As long as she's feeding and doesn't have a temperature I wouldn't worry too much.

Experiencing same with DD who is a similar age and also ebf.
Will be watching!

My DS has a cold also (he's 7 months) it's really tough, although he had no fever I took him to the GP for my own peace of mind.
With regard to the mucus, my DS had this all the time until we started weaning him and my GP and HV weren't concerned. If this is completely new to your DC then it might be worth seeing GP?

Wow - thank you for the replies. glad we are not alone! i'll pop along to one of theHV clinics today and report back! There were no GP appts left today by the time I logged on. Sigh.
