soapbox · 18/09/2005 11:26

Well done!

Bottles would be a nightmare for you wouldn't they - at least with all your to-ing and fro-ing your boobs go with you!!!!!

misdee · 18/09/2005 11:27

moondog · 18/09/2005 11:27

Can't believe it misdee! Remmeber our E3 discussions when you were pregnant.
Well done you!

God,you're such a hero-juggling your kids, home,Peter, being a good sister and washing out those cloth nappies.

I nominate your statue to go on the plinth in Traflager Square when Alison Lapper's comes down.

hunkermunker · 18/09/2005 11:28

Brilliant! Well done, Misdee!

moondog · 18/09/2005 11:28

(Did you b/feed the others btw?)

Can't imagine how you could do all those hospital visits if you bottle fed.

misdee · 18/09/2005 11:29

they'd have to increase the size of the plinth moondog lol.

misdee · 18/09/2005 11:29

Groggymama · 18/09/2005 11:33

that's fantastic! You're right to be proud of yourself!

misdee · 18/09/2005 11:34

gotta give dd3 some credit (except for the biting ouch) she is a good baby at getting milk out.

weesaidie · 18/09/2005 11:41

Well done! It's so simple breast feeding - when it works...

aloha · 18/09/2005 12:31

Well done! My dd is seven months too and I had a MASSIVE leak all over my t-shirt in Cafe Nero this morning because I was too busy reading about Kate Moss in the News of the World to nice I'd put dd on the wrong breast - ie not the full to bursting one!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really don't know how you do it.

misdee · 18/09/2005 12:33

have done that loads aloha. i hate breast pads, got some lilypads whci hare good but dont stop like flow like they say they will so still get leaks.

well done you for carrying on as well. it just gets easier as time goes on.

how is your dd doing?

henshake · 18/09/2005 13:23

I just want to say well done misdee.

I to hate the making of the bottles and the cleaning of them and the sterilising of them. What a chore when you can flop one out and then back in again.

henshake · 18/09/2005 13:24

Just re-read the last message & realised it doesn't sound v. lady like, so I'm apologising. It's just that mine are like spaniel ears so that's what happens to me. Again sorry.

suedonim · 18/09/2005 13:30

Well done, Misdee. You've had a hard row to hoe so give yourself a reward of chocolate or something else yummy!

suzywong · 18/09/2005 13:33

Manly pat on the back and a cigar for misdee!

well done girl, keep it up

aloha · 18/09/2005 14:01

ah, she's lovely. Just got some pictures so I might even cat you and send you one. She can't rival your girl for hair though!

berolina · 18/09/2005 14:35

yay, well done misdee!

muchbetter · 18/09/2005 14:51

well done!

Pob71 · 18/09/2005 22:03

Good for you!
My ds2 is 8months and if I mention he has been nipping people say "oh that will be the end of that then". Not if I have anything to do with it! The option of teaching them not to bite doesnt seem to enter their minds.

Pob71 · 18/09/2005 22:04

Should have said nipping me, people say (nipping people sounded funny!)

misdee · 18/09/2005 22:16

i know this thread may seem big-headed, but i was adamanet before dd3 that i wanted to breastfeed as much as possible. i honestly felt like giving up at times, when expressing wasnt working and she was having formula at times when peter was in ITU and i couldnt take her in. and when she had the feeding tube put in at 1 day old due to low suger levels, and breastfeedign and expressing wasnt enough to get her suger levels stabalised. but expressing has come together, and am building up a nice little stock in the freezer. so to get to 7months is a massive acheivement, especially with everything else going on. she now wont touch formula in a bottle, only EBM. have been using formula in cereals but though the other day, cows milk is fine to use now she is 6months old isnt it?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 18/09/2005 22:17

cows milk in cooking from 6 months, as a drink 12 months..... WELL DONE you.

I hope I can manage to feed this baby myself!
