Hi,
Im having a nightmare with teats!! My refluxer lo is on the above milk but the Tommee Tippee teats keep splitting or he can't get enough out of them. What do any other mums use on the same milk?

Hi, i used the dr brown bottles, i had to use the teat up a level from what she should have been on for her age (if you see what i mean--pregnancy brain!) as the milk is thicker and was blocking the smaller holes up.

These bottles are more of a pain to wash up and put together, but IMO they are super and won't use any other esp for a colicy baby.

Hope you sort it out.

oh and she was on the same aptimil comfort formula.

Thank you!
My lo is 13 weeks-which teats did you use?

I think that the bottles are sold with level 1 in them and then you buy the next levels in packs of 2.

At 13 weeks i would start with level 2 and go from there.

Good luck.

are you using the tommee tippee variable flow teats or the normal 1, 2 or 3 teats. THe variflow ones have a X instead of a hole and so adjust to a thicker feed. supposedly anyway.

ShinySarah · 10/11/2010 12:32

I'm using the variflow teats but I'm still not happy with them and he cant seem to get anything out of 1, 2, or 3!!!

I used this formula with my youngest with tommee tippee teats and had no problems.....started with size 2 and then went onto size 3.

Would your LO take a latex teat??? My eldest would only have latex (NAM ones) and with the variflow latex teats the hole is quite big and so should let more through IYSWIM?

I used boots bottles slim nexk bottles and NAM lates teats.

I was told by the aptamil helpline not to use Dr Browns bottles Hmm

I would suggest ringing their helpline (number on the formula carton) I found them very helpful.

I used Cow & Gate comfort, think it sounds similar? Anyway, I found Boots own brand fast flow teats worked best, didn't spill everywhere like variflow ones. I used them on my avent bottles, just make sure you get the wide neck version. they have a single hole and most others seem to be multiple holes so no use.

Thank you!!
I think I'll ring the helpline...If you all are/had no probelms then maybe it's me!!!
Maybe I'm not warming the milk enough???

oh no, I had a nightmare, no idea how much I spent on teats before I discovered the Boots ones!! Warmth of milk should make no difference.
