hi, i am interested who does a dreamfeed because i was giving my ds (11wks) a dreamfeed at 11.30pm which would have been 4hrs after his last feed but he only takes half of his feed. lastnight i decided not to give him the dream feed and he did not wake up untill 2am which was 6 1/2 hrs since his last feed and he drank all of his milk. and went untill 6.30am.

what are your views??

Dreamfeeds work for me - it's the only feed ds actually takes. Has always been rubbish at taking milk. Think he takes this feed as never wakes up so doesn't realise he's giving into drinking normally takes at least double any other feed and is so relaxed never gets wind after either.

I think it's worth giving a go. As also worked really well for dd.

I've got a 10 week old boy (my third child) - and I'm yet to discover how you physically do a dreamfeed if you're breastfeeding (as I am) - am I being really stupid? If the baby's asleep or not fully awake, they can't latch on surely! The other thing is that when you're at no. 3 you realise that the whole waking in the night thing, although it seems like the end of the world at the time, really only lasts such a short time, and it's soooo precious - really!
