It will be OK! You have done such a good job BF for so long and it is time to let go. You can look at this as a way to prepare yourself for the first day to preschool, school.... Yep it is fun while you can hold them in your arms!! Smile

Could it be a nursing strike? It's unusual for a child under 2 years to self wean especially abruptly. Has your DD been ill/teething/bitten you/been apart from you recently?

If you are sad to not be nursing anymore but are done with bfing then you don't have to do anything but if you want her to resume nursing you can get her to break her strike. The earlier link has some good advice on getting a striker to down pickets Grin.

Its my own fault really, she has had a really bad cold and hasnt been feeding or sleeping properly so i tried her with formula milk from a bottle which she took to straight away but now doesnt want to breast feed, i suppose she thinks its easier , it comes out faster and with not a lot of effort and she can still watch waybuloo or whatever going on in the room shes very nosy lol but i really miss it, im going to try again when shes sleepy fingers crossed she'll latch on

Try again. I stopped at 12 months - fed up of being bitten - and then found she wouldn't drink any other milk. So started again.

Maybe let her go cold-turkey on the bottle - won't do any harm just to have water from a beaker for a day or so. Booby might be very welcome then.

Also, it's very easy for them at this age, and quick...?
