25 day old 1st baby, BF, weight plateau

Baby lost 10.1% on day 3 had regained that by the time she was 2 wks and then some, since then weight has stayed the same - a tinest dip actually.

The last few days baby has been much more hungry feeding at length both breasts, latch and suck better than ever. I couldn't believe it when yesterday no gain was seen.

Seen dr yesterday at HV request, all seems fine no sinister indicators.

She is weeing and pooing regular - poos are on the runny side but normal colour, and growing well length ways. I don't think I have a supply issue last week I had an over supply before she started her feeding frenzy.

Any thoughts welcome, I'm so clueless and at the same time anxious

How often is she being weighed? Could it just be that's she's gearing up for a growth spurt?

I think if I were you I'd leave it another couple of weeks before weighing again, so long as she seems content, weeing and pooing lots.

Maybe she was feeding up for a growth spurt? I believe babies grow in jumps rather than straight lines so if you took her back in a few days she might have gone up a lot. That said I persoaly think to much store is set by weight. If your baby is happy and weeing and pooing then try not to worry! [hsmile]

Thank you, it feels as if she has been weighed a lot.

My book says on the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 15th, 20th, 26th, the plateau/slight dip (which has been maintained) since the 20th.

I'm the anxious sort and find it so hard not to worry something is wrong with her health/my milk I guess I need to keep going and hope for a better weigh in next week (2nd November)
