I'm a clueless first time mum who is trying to make a go of BF.
DD1 is 20 days old I'm so set on BF but I had a almost miserable time so far. Cracked scabby bleeding nipples; engorgement; breasts like a bag of marbles (blocked ducts?); fever with aforementioned (mastitis)....
This is subsiding and I'm persevering but I see the problem in the shape of her mouth her bottom lip goes in under the top (when not feeding) it is not a thin lip but she pulls it in. When feeding I get a good open mouth and latch only for her to suck the bottom lip in again seconds later. I'm constantly tugging at her chin (what I can get to when she is latched on) or re-latching even pulling her lip down as she latches and still...
Then comes the sucking/clicking noise and then the awful constant crying with belly ache. Please help me, I don't want to give up!!
