How long to change to cows milk at 1 year?

Hi all,

DD was EBF until 6 months and then weaned onto formula. She is healthy and we have no family history of allergies.

As she is coming up to 1 year I was planning on moving her onto full fat cows milk. Is this something I can do almost overnight, or should I do it gradually so as not to overwealm her system with something 'new'.

Any thoughts appreciated,

Thanks

Katy

With DD I tried that and she wouldn't drink it, so had to do it gradually ie 6+1, 5+2 etc. However she happily exchanged the bottle for a beaker.

With DS1 did it overnight and he accepted the full fat normal milk but he wouldn't accept the beaker. All babies are different.

Presumably she's had normal milk in cooking and eaten cheese and yoghurts? Therefore its nothing new.
