im in a bit of a pickle with DD shes 2.6 and still has a bottle at night and wakes for 1 too normally about 4ish- i think its habit but ive tried alot of things and she gets so upset i give her 1 as she wakes DD2 up (3 months)

she doesnt have a dummy anymore the easter bunny took it- i tried something simular with the bottle but shes not having any of it!

Any advice? or shall i wait till she eventuly says she doesnt want 1?

I'm sure she will eventually. If you just give her the bottle and then take it away that should be ok, but if you are leaving her to suck on it for hours that's not good for her teeth as milk contains sugars.

If you want to wean her off the milk first, you could try watering it down? First 1oz water and the rest milk, then increase water every week or something until it's just water. Then firstly you don't have the teeth problem and secondly she might find it less comforting and wake up less.

It's probably not a good time to try and ditch it cold turkey right now because of the new baby - give it another 2-3 months if you want to try that again.

HTH :)
