Betnovate and breastfeeding

hi I have bad hand excema bubbles and brning and peeling on hands and feet. been given betnovate cream, scared to use it and it is nto clear from my searches if it is safe. have another appointemnt tomorrow with different gp to ask him what he thinks. does anyoen knwo if it is safe or not with breastfeeding , as it seems uncertain, on the leaflet it says ask your physician if u are pregnant or breastfeeding, no help at all. but hands and fingers really burning and sore as im not treating it and i think the first dr was nt helpful gave no info or other creams, just as well there is internet. I did tell gp was breastfeeding

Well I've been prescribed and used it while pregnant so would think it would be completely fine while breastfeeding.

thanks!!! someone who used it and was fine, I just wanted some reasurance as it is confusing, it should be written safe or unsafe on the leaflet as it leaves room for doubt

Yeah I don't think anyone ever wants to commit to that on paper though :)

I've used it while bf and it is an ingredient in Jack Newman's all purpose nipple ointment (find on kellymom and other websites) which I've also used. Perfectly ok.

rhanks I went back to dr too and he gave me more stuff and said its fine too
