DS is now 9 days old and is feeding REALLY well. He is actually already taking 100ml (about 3 and a half ounces I think) per feed at around every 3 hours!! What is everyone else's babys taking? Do you think this is too much and maybe I should switch to hungry baby formula? Am worried he is having too much - particularly as he often looks for more after he has finished the 100ml!

Cheers.x

How much does your ds weigh? Books/internet says they should have about 70-75ml of formula per Ib but this is a very rough calculation and doesn?t take into account growth spurts/age/how much they had yesterday etc.

The hungry baby formula doesn?t have all the fatty acids that 1st stage milk has and can cause bad bad constipation (I was told by the HV).

You could just have a sucky baby, but if they drink more than they need they tend to vom it all back. I would have a chat with your HV as they will be able to give you specific advice for your ds.
