Sleepy baby/reluctant to feed...

Hi, my secoond was born on saturday. Over the weekend all seemed ok, and although the feeding was tough we were getting the hang of it.

Now, he won't latch, and seems to want to sleep all the time - I have tried some formula as the midwife was concerned re dehydration as his two cranial bones are very prominent.........I am literally having to force the bottle in to his mouth for him to take a very small amount. I am also expressing, as my boobs are solid...

Does anyone have or had a similar issue? My concern is the lack of intake?

My third was very sleepy - i woke her every three hours to give her a feed, changing her nappy always woke her up thoroughly, also stripping her off and rubbing her back and legs to keep her awake. Maybe a bath might help if he's still snoozy, most newborns hate them and roar until fed! Keep going with the breastfeeding - i'm surprised the midwife would suggest using formula at such an early stage of getting breastfeeding established.
