Preg with second baby and really struggled with BF first. Getting a lot of things sorted in my head for this next time round but wondering if a BF cushion may help and if so which one?

If it doesn't work as well as pillows etc thinking i can always use it to read in bed or for my DD to help her cuddle baby!

Recommendations gratefully received!

Brest friend is great and I wish I'd thought of it cos I would now be v rich I imagine.

Where I think it has benefits over other pillows is

  • Main plus: it attaches round your waist so in the early days when you're on your own it's easier to get into position because you can put it on, then pick the baby up, rather than having to pick them up, and then get all the pillows into place
  • it's a firm flat foam surface so it stays where it's put initially rather than sinking down under the baby's weight and the baby doesnt slip down the front between you and the cushion
  • you can put it at whichever height you like
  • you can stand up with it on and can use it as extra support for the baby when you're carrying them around (saves your back a bit if you have a big baby)

I have a widgey but I guess any support cushion will do. it relieves the strain on your back not having to hold baby all the time, especially during the night feeds.
