My 6 year old wanted me to breastfeed him

when he saw his new baby brother doing it. He self-weaned at 15 months which really upset me so I figured it was karma .

So after trying to climb into my top and me very firmly telling him that he wasn't going to get anywhere, I expressed some for him to drink, which he decided was "definately yucky".

So I mixed the rest into his hot chocolate - waste not, want not!

Just out of curiosity, if he hadn't self weaned might you have still been bfing him now? Or not. And please feel free to ignore this personal questioning!

DS1 (6 as well) wanted to try some of my milk, he weaned at about 18mths. He didn't ask to latch on but I was pumping for DS2 and gave him what I had expressed. Loved it.

If I have any around that DS2 doesn't want he will drink it.

moon I have no idea really. I kind of expected to feed for 3-4 years - although by a year I got lots of pressure to stop from ex-husband. I was just starting to feel uncomfortable doing it in public which now annoys me - I feel if I'm happy to BF I should be happy for people to know I'm BFing.

morloth I am giving all my spare to the milk bank, but, when DS2 becomes too old for that I'll be getting as much as poss into DS1!
