That is amazing. Smile I really feel we only know about the tip of the bm benefit ice berg

What a wonderful outcome for her.

WHY??!! Isn't donated milk more known about and used? It's just madness.

thisisyesterday · 29/09/2010 09:05

i think in the US you have to pay for it. over here it's donated so while there is nowhere near enough to go round at least there is no additional costs (other than the pasteurisation/storage etc etc)

in the US it is bought and sold and i guess if the insurance doesn't cover it...

i just can't get over this though, it's just so incredible...

Lovely lovely story. Makes me regret even more that I gave up breastfeeding so early :(

aww ktchang, every breastfeed makes a difference.
i gave up early with my first and yes, i still get pangs of regret, but at the time i did what i thought was best- as I am sure you did!

Thanks thisis yesterday. I only managed 3 weeks and then couldnt take the pain anymore. Thinking back now I wished I had perserve a bit longer because I think about it everyday. Have told myself I will try harder next time!

3 weeks is an achievement when it's so painful ktchang77.

There's only so much you can do with perseverance and will-power if the proper support isn't there.
