Bottle feeding really upsets my baby - help

I am not sure if anyone can help, but my baby just doesnt do very well with a bottle at all, I wanted to mix feed her but its truned into a bit of an issue.

If she had more than 100mils for FF she gets really colicly and upset and vomits but a couple of hourse later not straight away. I have been give some hypoalengic formal by the doctor but to be be honest it really hasnt made that much difference so I think it cant be an allegy. She is very happy being BF but she feeds little and often and at 3months I would like to start weening her to a bottle. It not practical to be BF all day when you have a 2 year old to look after to.

Any advice would be so so wellcome starting to feel a bit at the end of my teather with it!

I think it sounds as though your baby does better on breastmilk and it is advice you need on how to combine that with a 2 year old. It can be done. Many mumsnetters have done it so should be around to give you tips.No time to reply unfortunately.

How does she react to expressed milk?

Formallyhot · 20/09/2010 12:25

She seems to be ok with that. I think maybe just all formula is a bit heavy for her tummy.

Seems very odd, I know

Could you try giving her little amounts of formula more often, rather than bigger feeds? I know this doesn't really solve your problem of wanting her to go longer between feeds, but maybe she can only cope with little and often at the moment, whether it's breast or bottle.

I think your probably are right. Maybe I will give her one FF a day and see if her system can cope with that, possibly start giving a bit more in a few weeks.

Is it possible there little systems probably need a couple of months to adjust.
