5wk old DS unsure about morn feed

My 5 wk old son, wakes up around 6.45 am, or even 7.45, wanting to lie on his back and look around. Yesterday morning he only took his morning feed an hour later, and this morning half an hour later. I feed him in the morning (whne he decides he wants a feed), 10am, 2pm, 5pm, 6.15pm, 10.30pm, and a mid-night feed around 3am usually. Sometimes I feed him about lunchtime if he has got himself into such a state refusing to nap that he gets hungry. Was thinking that perhaps I should start cutting back on his mid-night feed? Only as it appears that he does not need all of it, as otherwise he would wake up hungry. Wondered whether people have experienced this situation. thanks

Are you breast or bottle feeding?

I always just offered milk when they woke it the night cos it was the fastest way to get them back to sleep. When baby is ready to sleep through they will and they don't wake through the night out of habbit generally.
If he's already cutting back on the quantity he takes in the middle of the night it could be a good sign that eventually he won't wake for it at all.
As for the not wanting a feed as soon as he wakes up, I'd just go with the flow. If he wakes in morning and is happy in his bed enjoy it! Stay in bed too!
