12 weeks EBF - suddenly losing interest & fussing at day feeds?

My DS usually feeds with gusto at about 10.30am and about 2.30pm. The last few days he has turned his head away lots, screamed and arched his back a lot. I have tried alternate boobs in case there was a flow issue and tried winding etc and nothing seems to help. He also permanently has his fingers in his mouth at the mo but I am assuming it's too early for teething.
I guess he fed for 10-15 mins just now, but usually it's about 40 mins.
Any ideas?!

Sorry no help, but I was about to post a simular question. My 12 week old dd used to feed for 35-40 mins but is now only feeding 10-15 mins and that involes her coming of 2-3 times. I am starting to panic that she's not getting enough. She also is a massive finger sucker.

Sorry hyjacked your thread....hopefully someone will give advice.

Don't be sorry, the more the merrier! Always helps to know there's someone out there with a similar issue.
I did read that they become much more efficient feeders around this age, so maybe they are getting much more very quickly - however seems odd that this would happen overnight. And doesn't explain the arching back - unless that was just a reaction to the unwanted boob being shoved in his face.
I am wondering if my issue is partly due to the fact that he still tends to feed around 4am, then 7ish, and so maybe he's not as hungry as he should be. He fed very well just now, he knows it's bedtime!
