I have always been curious if anyone tried to "clean" a babies tongue when it goes really white from all the milk it drinks . My Mum said she used to clean ours ...

Actually it could be thrush when it looks like this. Ds had it when he was about 3 weeks old because I had to take AB's for mastitis. It wasn't that bad, so I just ate a lot of yoghurt. I have also read to try powdered acidopholus.

I think its totally normal if there are no other symptoms. My little one still has a furry white tongue half the time and she's 14 months but her breath always smells sweet and she definitely doesn't have thrush or anything. I wouldn't even know how to go about cleaning a baby's tongue without making them gag.
