I am feeding dd2 who is 21 months. I came down with a cold (although might be flu) today.

I am really suffering - sore throat, blocked nose, back ache, cough and general aches and feeling of misery.

DH is away and the only thing I have in the house is a flu medication.

I looked it up - it has paracetamol which I know is ok and Diphenhydramine which Kellymom rates as L2 Safer and Phenylephrine which is rated as L3 moderately safe.

DD feeds morning, bedtime and in the night.

I am getting worse as the day goes on but not sure if it is worth the risk.

Does anyone have any advice/experience to help me decide?

Thanks

Hi
Have a look at www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/drugs-in-breastmilk-information-and-factsheets.html
Hope this helps

Thanks. That is very helpful. I couldn't find that link in my flu-befuddled state.
