Bottle fed baby - little and often?

DD is 10wks and has started taking one big bottle when she wakes up, but the rest of the day she takes little often, between 1-2oz at at time, she then falls asleep on the bottle. I did read somewhere that I should be getting her to take larger feeds at a time, but getting her to wake once she is asleep is hard.

If anybody could offer me any advice how I can try to get her to take larger feeds I would be very very grateful :) :) :)

i would just go by her lead for now as if you were BFing it would be the same i expect...little and often.
this is what i did, just fed on demand and i FFed.
let her sleep i say, she´ll let you know when she wants more.hth Smile

does she maybe need a faster teat?

Little and often is ok

My bottle fed DS was like this at this age

Yes, try her with a number 2 teat, she may be getting tired sucking.

Thanks girls. I defo wont try and change her pattern then, she certainly seems happy enough, its just when you read in the books I kinda get the impression thats how it should be. Maybe I'll stop reading the books, lol.

I was actually thinking of trying her on a number 2 teat or a vari flow, so thats good that its been suggested.

(suspect I need to start trusting my own instinct)

Thanks again :)
