The method I used to use to make up formula with dd2 was to fill sterilised bottles with boiling water, let them cool, then when needed microwave to 70 degrees (tested once with a cooking thermometer to work out how many minutes for 4 oz and 7 oz of water), add formula shake and run under tap for a couple of minutes.

I have just started f'feeding ds, but have a different microwave (an 850 watt one), and have lost my thermometer!

I just wondered if anyone uses the same method, how long does it take in the microwave to get to 70 degrees?

ThankyouSmile!

how about boiling kettle, leaving for 30 mins, and then seeing how long need to microwave for water to get to same heat?

I tried that NWmum, but the accuracy of my finger test just ranged from, 'ooh hot' to 'yeeouch!!'.
