Hi all,
My DS has been steadily cutting down on daytime feeds for a while, and is now only breastfeeding in the morning and when he goes to bed. He eats 3 meals (not huge) and drinks a bit of water (but not much) during the day. If I offer the breast he will feed a little if we are in a quiet place but then start spitting it out! During the night he wakes 2/3/4 times and feeds a lot, and I'm getting pretty exhausted.
Any tips on how to change this pattern? Should I offer the breast before his solids? Stop feeding at night somehow (think this will be very hard!)? Thanks in advance for any advice/experiences.

def offer breast before solids, and throughout the day tbh but don't push it if he refuses

sounds like he is making up for having so little during the day by taking lots at night, so if you can increase daytime feeds he may even out

if you go to kellymom.com i think there is a section on reverse cycling and how to swap them round again

Thanks :)
I didn't know it had a name! I will start offering breast first, but worry that he may then not be hungry for solids?
