and he's not happy. I always hoped to let him self wean (and he does still have a bedtime feed) but the morning one really takes it out of me.
He is so upset though :(

I'm sorry he's so upset about this.
How old is he? Have you replaced it with anything?
When I dropped my DC's morning feeds I gave them a cup of cow's milk while having a cuddle on my knee. (They were both over a year old by then) They still got their mummy time and a drink, only the source was changed.
Could that help your DS at all?

Yes, you're right I should do that, but the morning feed used to be help yourself pretty much, in bed and I usually don't have the energy to struggle downstairs and get milk. Think I will have to force myself too though as it might help a bit (even just by distracting him).
Yesterday he was saying he felt hungry before we set off for nursery and that's the first time I can ever remember him doing that (he has breakfast there). Then I realised he usually has probably a pint of full fat milk every morning :(

Well this morning was better no tears or tantrums, he asked about it but seemed so sad. I feel like I'm depriving my boy.
