will my boobs change size? BF for 4 months

Hi - do any of you wise ones know if my boobs are likely to have settled at this point at the size they will stay at for a while more if I continue to BF? (probably to about 9 months) DD is 4 months, having the dreaded growth spurt I think, even with that they havent changed dramatically, I really want to get a new bra fitted, preferably an underwired one as I know they can be worn if fitted well, but dont want to waste my money if it isn't going to fit in a few months. Am 'well blessed' too so it isn't just a case of going to la senza or m and s! Need scaffolding!

Am at the moment around the size I was before, and the leaking/engorgement seems to have calmed down at this point, so would assume now might be a good time?

Thanks!

mine got smaller because i lost weight, but they hadn't got much bigger when i was pg either. what are you wearing at the moment? maybe get one bra now.

I am quite small but needed a nursing bra this time because I went up to a (massive Hmm) 34C. At about 8/9 months I noticed my breasts got a lot smaller although he's still feeding about 6 times a day...I reckon I am back to normal now (nearly 11 months BF and still going). I would guess they'd have settled now and if you get fitted when you are at your fullest then you should have a size that will suit until you decide to stop BF

Your boobs may or may not get smaller, it varies from woman to woman. But, if your supply has stabilized and your not getting engorged a properly fitting under-wired bra is fine. It really does need to be a danm good fit though.

Get fitted before a feed rather than after, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks all, maybe will leave it for another couple of weeks until she has got over the current growth spurt to be sure, then get measured. Just want a really good bra for the times I am away from DD and for when I go back to work in a couple of months - really fed up with having a monoboob as am 32HH and makes me look huge not having a nice bra, not good for the self confidence!

The thought of them getting smaller eventually is wonderful!

Underwired feeding bras don't seem to exist in big sizes Hmm. Total madness. You can adapt any underwired bra so that it becomes a feeding bra, just buy lose clips or use some from an old BF bra. Tutorial here. It's really easy Smile
