Morning BF all up in the air!

Hello I'm currently bf my 3 week old son (who's my first baby). He's doing really well, and has been feeding well pretty much since birth. But we always seem to have a problem with feeding in the morning. He's usually up around 6-7am, has a feed, falls asleep but then is awake 10-15 mins later looking for more. I've been feeding him again then, but the cycle continues until I'm pretty much exhausted, and I can't seem to get anything else done (sometimes it's a struggle to get breakfast). He usually goes on one side, feeds then falls asleep. I have spoken to the bf counsellor at my local maternity, who told me to put him on one side, then when he falls asleep, wake him by winding him then pop him on the other side. Does this sound right to anyone? My HV gives me conflicting advice also

It's only ever the morning that I have problems with, as during the night and evening feeds are fine. Does anyone have any words of wisdom about this? I'm really keen to keep up the bf, but it is getting to me a bit as I feel that I'm doing something wrong.

Any help would be great

If you can try to feed lying down you can both catch a bit of extra sleep.

DS2 woke up at around 6ish this morning and fed until 8. But we were both feeding/dozing so it is OK.

I don't wake DS up if I don't have to be anywhere, if he goes to sleep on boob I let him sleep and just feed him again when he wakes up.

Path of least resistance is the best way with babies!
